As we descend we get great views of Half Dome and the valley, like this one.

As we descend from the falls, we realize we may not make the bus so we shift into top gear for the final miles. We pass hikers going up who look at us like we're crazy. Liz gets attacked by face flies. We make it to the valley floor, and are just short of running the last mile to the tram, though when we see it, somehow we break into a run to make sure we don't miss it. We end up getting to the bus stop almost 30 minutes before departure, so Liz gets us some drinks while Jim collapses at the stop.

We have fun with the folks on the bus on our ride back to our car and enjoy a much needed rest.

A great hike followed by a fortifying meal at the Whoa Nelly Deli make for a day to remember.
