Zion '04
The next day we hike up to Secret Canyon,
pausing for a moment to take in this spectacular view.
The lighter rock is from a different geological era
than the darker, redder rock below it.
To get to the canyon we must hike
on this carved out ledge that has a pretty significant
drop-off on the downhill side.
We have lunch on this beautifully
striated sandstone.
But soon enough it's time to head up the
canyon to see what we can see.
